Trump says Iran war "close to over" amid hopes for more negotiations
Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Telecoms and Public Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa added 0.21% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Porto Seguro SA (BVMF:PSSA3), which rose 5.66% or 2.50 points to trade at 46.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Petroreconcavo SA (BVMF:RECV3) added 5.49% or 0.74 points to end at 14.21 and Itau Unibanco Banco Holding SA (BVMF:ITUB4) was up 5.41% or 1.91 points to 37.23 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Azul SA Pref (BVMF:AZUL4), which fell 11.89% or 0.17 points to trade at 1.26 at the close. MRV Engenharia e Participacoes SA (BVMF:MRVE3) declined 11.22% or 0.69 points to end at 5.46 and Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (BVMF:CSNA3) was down 9.87% or 0.95 points to 8.68.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 484 to 447 and 50 ended unchanged.

The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 0.14% to 29.64.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.87% or 28.86 to $3,334.86 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.85% or 1.11 to hit $61.02 a barrel, while the July US coffee C contract rose 0.08% or 0.30 to trade at $387.65 .
USD/BRL was down 0.13% to 5.65, while EUR/BRL unchanged 0.06% to 6.36.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 100.24.
